Had a blast at University!
I studied at Waikato University from 2012-2014 graduating with a Bachelor of Communication Studies (BCS), majoring in marketing and specialising in health communication. I really enjoyed my time at Waikato uni and wish I appreciated the perks of being a student more (sleep ins and partying). I was fortunate enough to get to know my lecturers really well and I feel like this helped me get the most out of my learning. I got some awesome marks at uni, finishing with an A average, getting the top mark for 3 of my papers and getting in to the International Golden key Society (for the top 15% of students in the BSC degree).
I love traveling, yoga, learning, health and wellbeing.
I practice Yoga twice a week I find this is an awesome way to refocus and become more present in my life, as we all know technology has created a world where we often aren’t present. I also enjoy learning about the latest health trends in my spare time, I follow blogs, read books and follow health pages on Facebook. I like to live by the 80/20 rule. 80% healthy and 20% indulgence. Everything in moderation I say, you can’t be too hard on yourself. The best piece of advice I could give you in regards to your health would be that everyone’s so different, what works for one person might not for another, read lots and find out what’s good for you personally. That’s what works for me anyway. I travel as often as I can, and I am always waiting for the next opportunity to see the world. My partner Keir is one of the Managing Directors of Signature Homes Waikato. This is where I first got introduced to the building industry and since then have become more familiar with different trades.
